ABOUT LEE PEARSE

You could say life is like a book; there is a beginning and an ending with many chapters in between. We all have our life stories and yours and your loved ones are unique to you and can belong to no other.  I believe ceremony and ritual to be an important part of our lives and together they help us weave our way through our life stories with rhythm and grace. 

Being a celebrant affords me the great honour and joy of being a co-creator with you in facilitating ceremonies that are authentic to the chapter in life that you and your loved ones are up to. A ceremony to declare publicly your love and commitment for another, to farewell a loved one, to welcome a new baby, and the many other chapters and significant life events that can be enriched by ceremonies.

Personally, ceremony and ritual have been a big part of my life; milestone birthdays, a wedding on the banks of the Murrumbidgee with family and friends and ceremonies to farewell and honour the life of a loved one. All of them helping me to move into my next chapter.

I am a naturally warm and engaging person and I genuinely am curious about and fascinated by the lives we lead and the stories therein. People tell me I’m a good listener and therefore together we can create what is right for each individual ceremony. I’m told I have an ability to balance the joy or solemnity of a ceremony with ease and it is important to me that I can be a calming presence when the significance of a big life event can be nerve wracking. I am well organised and well prepared so that you can relax and know everything is in place.

I am well situated to cover large areas of Central Victoria and am more than happy to travel. I live half an hour from Daylesford, Castlemaine and Maldon, two hours from Melbourne, one hour from Bendigo and 50 minutes from Ballarat.
